Tourism is fast emerging as one of the major job providing sectors, more and more educational institutions have come up with academic programmes in the field. Realizing the potential of the sector, we have introduced a certificate and diploma programme in tourism with emphasis on being able to understand the basics of the international tourism industry.

We also discussed the provision of new courses briefly. As soon as we get registrations in for the Advanced Diploma we will register that course and we are also still planning the Postgraduate diploma in  June although there is still a lot of work to do on this.

We are now looking to increase the number of distance courses we have. We expect to start this major expansion programme in April and at least two courses a month will be introduced. These will be based on the Certified Development Programme, a series of short courses covering Business, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality. We will also be offering two new ASET courses - Introduction to Business and Success in Self Employment as soon as permission is granted. Keep checking this newsletter changed weekly.
